After a 9 year sabbatical, Witney Trade Fair is back! It is bolder, braver and, potentially, bigger than ever before…to fit with the ever changing business environment. Community Buying believe: “The WTF is set to rock businesses” and will “generate a unique new platform for collaboration across the business community” when it arrives on the 18th & 19th September 2014 at The Leys, Witney.
It does feel like a huge comeback and, when you think it through, a timely one: this is the region’s premier business community and there really should be a place for businesses to showcase what they do for their customers, staff, shareholders and the wider social fabric of our community.
But do NOT make the mistake of thinking this is local – it has already gone international. Which is right and proper given Witney has been an international trading and meeting place for hundreds of years. Yes the time to reinvent that is actually long overdue and this really does create a sense of excitement for just where this could go and what amazing outcomes will occur as a result of this event.
What’s new? Dating back to 1936 and escalating to an amazing 60,000 visitors, the new venue with a 2000 square metre marquee, fine dining bistro, Pimm’s bus, VIP zone, plus much more will move that fine legacy into a new era for the new business environment. Of course it has the full backing of Prime Minister and Witney MP David Cameron: “West Oxfordshire is already home to some fantastic businesses and it is great to see firms from here and further afield coming to Witney to showcase their work.”
A blast from the past with a picture from the 1970s – “collaboration”:
Community Buying has put together a unique package for businesses wishing to Exhibit at their own stand or simply have a presence at the event – you know what to do: 01993 224111.
